THE NEED TO PRAY CONTINUALLY

THE NEED TO PRAY CONTINUALLY

Prayer is a simplest form of conversing with God through our listening and presence. There are moments we may feel that our prayers are not answered. The widow in today’s Gospel becomes a symbol of perseverance in prayer and faith. The first Christian community expected the imminent return of the risen Lord. Luke is helping his readers to know that this is a time of waiting, therefore prayer and faith will sustain our life and help us in remaining closer to Jesus. The moments of frustration in one’s life are to be addressed in faith. The life of prayer will help us to anchor in faith and find meaning in perseverance.
