ANOTHER CHANCE: REPENT, RETURN AND BE RESTORED
‘Unless you repent, you will all perish. ‘These hard words come from the mouth of Jesus. We read them today because we are approaching Easter and it is already the third Sunday of Lent. We will try to repent. We will try to approach Easter in the way in which Moses approached God in the burning bush. Moses showed us what it meant to repent. He fell to the ground. He respected God. He asked him what to do. He surrendered to him.” If my people who bear my name will humble themselves, and pray and seek my presence… then I will listen from heaven and forgive their sins and restore their country (2Chr7:14).
Lord, as Moses fell to the ground before you, we too, humble ourselves before you. We ask for forgiveness because we exalted ourselves and forgot how small we are before you. As Moses took off his shoes before the holy place, we too take off our pride before you and ask pardon.
Wishing all Parishioners & Friends Happy and Blessed Sunday! Fr Francis, MSP
